What is the Government Job Retention Scheme – Furlough
Overview
It is a scheme under which all UK employers with a PAYE will be able to access support to continue paying part of their colleagues’ salary due to the business being impacted by the coronavirus Pandemic.
What does furlough mean?
Furlough is a term to describe a type of leave of absence that may be used due to retain employees and protect the UK economy.
Who does it apply to?
It applies to all colleagues that have been asked to temporarily cease working, and who are remaining on payroll, otherwise described as ‘Furloughed’ workers.
The Scheme begins as of the 01 March 2020 and is open until the end of June 2020 (as per current government guidance)
Who is Eligible?
All UK wide employers with a PAYE Scheme will be eligible.

Should you be on furlough leave and experiencing any significant difficulties, please speak with your line manager in the first instance. They will be keeping fully informed as to the schedules of work that we are working consistently to try to secure.
