Stay active
Inactivity can mean boredom, and boredom means terrible moods. Try to make sure you are all moving and keeping active.
You can go outside for exercise as a household, take advantage of this, and plan walks to a different place every day. The trick is to keep it fresh and interesting. Depending on the age of the children, you can keep them occupied with fun activities and crafts and whilst this is probably not appropriate for teenagers— a simple paper aeroplane competition can have the children working hard, and maybe learning something about physics, too.
Tabletop and board games are also perfect and could be a nice new way to encourage interaction that you wouldn’t usually do.
