Chevron Traffic Management has achieved an Accident Frequency Rate of 0.0 so far in 2012/13 with over 1,800,000 hours worked without a reportable incident.
Andy Hicks, General Manger for Chevron Traffic Management commented;
"This is a fantastic achievement for the company; we are constantly working in high risk areas, providing a high quality service with health and safety at the forefront"
Ensuring the safety of our employees, other road workers, and the public is the fundamental reason that Chevron exists as a Traffic Management business. Therefore it is imperative that our designs seek to mitigate the safety risks to all stakeholders who come into contact with our road works.
Chevron is leading the way in achieving zero carriageway crossings as part of the HA’s ‘Aiming for Zero’ strategy. We were the first company to deliver a 12A scheme with zero planned carriageway crossings on the M3 Blackwater to Hawley Project. Our performance was recognised through receipt of the Highways Agency Area 3 supply chain award.
We are also on target to deliver the M62 J25-30 Managed Motorways 2 year scheme with Zero carriageway crossings, eliminating an estimated 70,000 carriageway crossings.
