Success at Kier Supply Chain Community Awards 2018

CHEVRON & THE AREA 3 TM TEAM CELEBRATE SUCCESS AT THE KIER SUPPLY CHAIN COMMUNITY AWARDS 2018

Chevron was in attendance at the recent Area 3 Supply Chain Awards and are pleased to announce that we came away with awards in the following categories-

Winners, The Guy Berresford Special Recognition Award

The Area 3 TM Team won the very prestigious Guy Berresford Special Recognition Award for outstanding contribution ‘A Decade of Delivery’.

This award recognises various initiatives developed over the last 10 years for improvements to Health & Safety, such as; The removal of carriageway crossings, the implementation of the Airlock Gated System, Traffic Management Training videos and shared traffic management developments, creation of The Network Wall & Network Information Tool.

Chris Davis, Area 3 TM Operations Manager commented: “The Area 3 TM Team have won 11 awards in the last 5 years and winning the Guy Berresford Special Recognition Award is without doubt the cherry on the cake!”

Winners & Highly Commended, The Process Award

The team won the award for Continuous Record Surfacing Output Through Efficient Ways of working. Achieving 1150 tonnes, 1450 tonnes & then 1600 tonnes of black laid during one shift. Chevron's Shaun O’Hanlon and the M4 Cluster ECI team we were also commended for the efficiencies achieved with the teams collaborative approach to working and ECI enabling the combining of schemes on the project.

Marlow Carnival 2017

Can I please express my thanks on behalf of everyone at Kier for the exceptional aptitude and attitude shown by one of your site teams who were engaged in a recent local community project. As with any town centre closure there were some ‘challenges’ thrown at the crew but their attitude and commitment to the safety of the children, parents and support groups was second to none. It’s lovely to be able to write this reference to your colleagues, please pass on my most sincere thanks.

A404 Resurfacing

Could I say a big thank you to yourselves and to all your crews which were on site at the A404 Resurfacing scheme last night. I have spoken to the Tarmac site supervisor from the Chieveley depot this morning who was very appreciative of how helpful and how good it was to work with the crew that was on site.
