Chevron Traffic Management Limited’s commitment to sustainable business practices continues to be demonstrated after it successfully achieved certification to the Energy Management standard, ISO 50001:2018, a first for the traffic management industry.
The standard used by many large and small organisations across the world, helps to manage and reduce energy use and costs. With energy security and climate change hot topics, its important for organisations to develop organisational resilience to these risks, and the adoption of this framework ensures that these are addressed appropriately.
ISO 500001:2018 provides a framework of requirements for organisations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management
Jamie Bowen, After an intense 3-day stage 2 assessment we have been successfully recommended for certification to ISO 50001 Energy Management Standard.
We are proud to be the first traffic management company to achieve this standard, and it also ensures that we have achieved compliance with the ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) Regulations 10 months ahead of schedule.
