Chevron are pleased to announce a five year contract to provide Traffic Management services on the Highways Agency Area 3 Asset Support Contract (ASC).
EM Highway Services is the current service provider in Area 3, having been appointed as the Highways Agency’s Managing Agent Contractor (MAC) in 2008. This contract has been secured following EM Highway Services re-appointment under the new ASC contract, commencing on 1st November 2013.
Commenting on the contract award, Managing Director, Kim Yates, said: “We are looking forward to continuing the collaborative relationship that has existed between EM and Chevron over the past 6 years and to build on those solid foundations to deliver excellence for the Highways Agency and its customers across Area 3.”
The Area 3 contract will benefit from the continuation of the award winning BS11000 collaborative partnership success seen on the previous contract between EM Highways Services, Chevron Traffic Management and other key supply chain partners. The BS11000 Collaborative Business Relationships approach by EM Highways Services is the first formal collaboration in highway maintenance that addresses end-to-end delivery including the client and supply chain. Through the integration of Chevron and other partners into this approach, significant cashable savings and efficiency improvements have been demonstrated in the MAC Contract and will be enhanced in this new ASC Contract.
The new ASC contract Area 3 Network consists of approximately 1,242 km of motorways and trunk roads in Surrey, Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. The Network provides essential links to Heathrow and Southampton Airports and the docks of Southampton and Portsmouth whilst also serving the popular south coast holiday resorts of Bournemouth and Poole and will primarily be serviced via our Chevron Highways division located in the South of England.
